About the Tuckaseegee River: The Tuckaseegee River is part of the Tennessee River Valley, and eventually flows into the Mississippi River and down to the Gulf of Mexico. The "Tuck" flows through a scenic mountain valley and several small communities. River trips can last from an hour and a half to a half day trip.

The Tuckaseegee River is warmer than most rivers and usually runs about 70 degrees in the summer. This river is frequented by trout fisherman. The state record brown trout was caught on the Tuckaseegee!

Although a "tame" river to some, the Tuckaseegee offers a series of fun rapids for the novice and intermediate paddler.

Nantahala River Kyacking
